Overview

Oddcast's Augmented Reality technology allows users to add a layer of virtual reality on top of actual reality. Using only a webcam, users can see virtual worlds open in their hands. Augmented Reality technology can be incorporated into many other Oddcast functionalities, including Full Body 3D Avatars.

Core Functionality

  • Augmented Reality requires no plug in.
  • Allows users to interact with 3D objects and avatars using only their Webcam.
  • A "registration point" or "badge" that can be printed by users is required to activate the experience. The badge can be posted on cereal boxes, magazine advertisements, packaging, labels, business cards etc.
  • User controlled virtual characters react to user movements and controls:
    • Animate
    • Speak (Including Dynamic TTS)
    • Change form and shape, including clothing, accessories, size and color.
